Runescape happens to be one of the most popular MMORPGs that you can play over the internet, all for the reasonable price of nothing. People even become members paying $5 a month to get all the extras. But there is plenty wrong with this game and the biggest problem that many are not willing to admit is just how darn boring it is. Runescape is built around the basis of the longer you play it, the more fun it gets as I can imagine it is more fun fishing lobsters than it is shrimps. But Jagex seems to of decided that for them to have more people subscribe to their full game, they must make it take a huge amount of time to level up a skill. When I was hooked on this game, I became a member and I started thieving, I am currently level 71 thieving though I am not a member. Saying that may seem easy but was possibly the most boring part of any of the hundreds of games I have played. It took a horrendously long time to get one level let alone 70. When I was level 40 thieving it took about 3-6 hours to gain a level on the trip to level 70. Now that is one skill, try doing them all. Now what was I doing while I was doing "right click left click" about 6000 times; nothing. That is an excruciatingly boring time. Finally I reach level 70 and I can finally start thieving chaos runes. Paladins are level 70+, I am level 60. So now I have to train my fighting. It is this sort of gameplay that can ruin all that a player has worked so hard to achieve. This adds even more boredom and frustration on top of what someone has already had to endure and is this kind of gameplay that thousands of players "endure" while playing this game...more.
