![]() Content Didn't get a chance to read up to Chapter 2 yet? Well here's your chance!: Intro Chapter One: The Gem Chapter Two: Meeting Osman And this edition's: Chapter Three: The princess of Al Kharid Chapter Four: Traveling to Varrock Marius strayed about in Al Kharid, exploring what interesting things the city had. As he passed on, he bumped into a robed figure. Marius said, “Oh, I’m sorry,” but he saw who was under the robe. “Aren’t you?” Marius said. “Aren’t you Ariana, the princess of Al Kharid?” “Um…” She said. “Yes you are! I would recognize that face anywhere! What are you doing outside the castle?” “I do not know what you speak of. I am not the princess of Al Kharid. I am just a mere villager, making her way.” “C’mon, stop lying! Just admit it. I won’t tell, honest.” “Okay. I am the princess of Al Kharid, happy?” She straightened herself and made eye contact with Marius. Marius noticed she was a bit shorter than him. And she didn’t look half bad, either. “Hmm… So I ask you again, what are you doing here?” “I get bored of the castle, so I come outside here and talk with my good friend, Osman. Do you know of his whereabouts?” “Yeah. He’s in his house. Follow me.” Marius took Ariana to Osman’s house. “Ariana! What brings you here?” asked Osman. “Just bored of the castle again,” said Ariana. “Hmm… Well, I’ll only allow you one more hour here.” “Huh? Why?” she asked. “Because we are not safe. This boy, Marius, has the gem of Etharina.” Ariana gasped and looked at Marius who looked back, and smiled. Hmm… no doubt he likes me. But I wonder how he got that gem in his hands…“What is he doing with that gem?” Ariana asked. “His father, the priest of Lumbridge, gave it to him. I guess his father had a great amount of trust in his son. He’s going to make his way tomorrow at noon to the city of Varrock, through the desert. He will first fill his bottle with this fine wine, which has been blessed by Gunthix. It will cure your thirst with one drop of the liquid. “I have business. I will head to Falador, where I need to trade. You guys make yourself comfortable. I will be back within an hour, so Ariana, you need to be home when I come, or else I will report of your absence.” Ariana nodded her head, and looked back at Marius. Great, I’m stuck with him. Oh well, at least you’re out of the castle, Ariana. Osman left. When he did, Marius sat down on the chair in the kitchen. “Sit down, so we can know each other better,” “Okay,” said Ariana sarcastically, but Marius seemed not to know she was being sarcastic. “What do you want to know?” said Ariana. “How the wonderful life of royalty is? Or do you want my autograph?” “No, I want to know how you bear it all, not being able to travel anywhere.” Ariana looked at him oddly and then answered him. “It, it’s… It’s horrible! I can’t go anywhere, can’t even leave my own house! How do I bear it? I beat on my pillow! It’s horrible. Horrible!” Okay, Princess. A little too much drama here, Marius thought. They talked and talked, until they both knew each other much better. Then, “I believe it is almost an hour. Hurry, before Osman comes.” Said Marius. “Okay,” said Ariana. She waved goodbye. A few minutes later, Osman returned. “She isn’t here anymore?” Osman asked. “No,” Marius replied sadly. Osman sat down. “You like her, huh?” Marius straightened up. “No!” “Yeah right…” “Bah! I’m going to sleep!” “At eight o’clock? I like it! So you can gather energy for the coming journey!” “Whatever, Plato.” Marius woke up as he heard a sound. He looked out his window and saw Ariana throwing rocks at the wall. “Hmm? Ariana?” “Yeah! Come down!” “But, it’s, like 3 o’clock!” Marius said. “So?” “Okay, I’ll come down.” He put on his clothes and stepped outside. “Ok, what do you want to do?” said Ariana. “Hmm…. Well, Osman said I need to travel to Varrock, through the desert passage. Let me get my armor.” He tip toed inside, and quietly put on his armor. “Ok, I’m ready. Let’s go.” As they walked, Marius noticed Ariana had a longbow in her hands and iron tipped arrows in her quiver. “You are an archer?” “I have been arching since I was 3,” she said. “How good are you?” asked Marius. “Good,” said Ariana. She took out a bow and shot it off in the distance. Marius heard a scorpion cry out in pain. “Wow,” Marius said. “That is good. And at night, too.” “See, I’m good and you suck!” she said. “Hey! That’s not nice!” “Ha, ha, ha!” She laughed at Marius and punched him in the arm playfully. “You’re not funny,” said Marius. “Oh, well,” said Ariana. “We should rest here, I’m tired,” Marius stopped as he finally reached grass through the entire desert. He took out his tinderbox and some wood and made a fire. He then took out his two sleeping bags. “For the trip ahead,” He said. “We need to get our rest.” “You sound like Osman,” She said. “Well, two minutes with the guy and you can’t get his voice out of your head,” he said. “Ha, ha, ha! That’s funny,” she said. Then she drifted off to sleep. Marius fell asleep, too. He woke up because of the blinding sun. Covering his eyes, he looked into Ariana’s sleeping bag. It was empty. He then saw her cooking meat on the fire. “Hey, sleepyhead. I made breakfast!” “What is this?” asked Marius. “Bear meat!” “You killed a bear?” “Yeah! I shot an arrow into his face.” “Cool,” Marius said as he took the meat and ate. He took out his bottle of wine and drank some. He gave some to Ariana too. “Okay. Now that we’re full, let’s get going!” Marius said. They gathered everything and headed to Varrock. As Marius and Ariana headed to Varrock, they saw Stonehenge, with Delrith trapped in the barrier that the wizards cast on it. As they kept on walking, they stopped when a spell was cast right next to their feet. “It’s the dark wizards!” yelled Marius. They turned around and Ariana shot an arrow into one of their heads, which killed the first one. “Attack!” yelled the leader. They ran toward each other and attacked. Marius waved his sword at them while Ariana shot them all from a distance. Marius killed the leader and wiped the blood off his 2-handed sword. “Woo! That was some workout!” yelled Ariana. They rested shortly before finishing their trip to Varrock. By Mclaren203 |
